Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of flavorsandtales.com (the "site") and any tour, cooking class, or custom experience you book with Flavors and Tales ("we", "us"). By making a booking you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

1. Who we are

Flavors and Tales is a small, family-run tour operator based in Rome, Italy. You can contact us at flavorsandtalescontact@gmail.com or on +39 344 7413392.

2. Booking and payment

• Prices are shown in Euro (€) per person and include applicable Italian taxes, unless stated otherwise.
• A booking is confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed and you have received a confirmation email from us.
• Payments are handled securely by Stripe. Card details are never stored on our systems.

3. Cancellations, changes, and refunds

• Cancellations by you. You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of your experience. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start time are non-refundable.
• Changes by you. Date or guest-count changes made more than 48 hours before the experience are subject to availability and are free of charge. Later changes may not be possible.
• Cancellations by us. If we must cancel an experience for any reason (safety, force majeure, insufficient participants, etc.) we will offer you an alternative date or a full refund.
• No-show. Failure to attend an experience without prior notice is treated as a late cancellation and is not refundable.

4. Consumer right of withdrawal

Under Article 59 of the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005), services relating to leisure activities scheduled for a specific date or period — such as guided tours and cooking classes — are excluded from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal. Our cancellation policy above applies instead.

5. Meeting point, safety, and conduct

• Please arrive at the meeting point on time. We cannot delay a group for late arrivals and no refund is due in that case.
• You are responsible for informing us of any allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions in advance so we can adapt the experience where possible.
• Guests are expected to follow reasonable instructions from the guide. We may refuse participation to anyone whose behaviour endangers themselves or others; no refund is due in that case.

6. Alcohol

Some experiences include wine or other alcoholic beverages. Guests under the age of 18 will be offered non-alcoholic alternatives.

7. Liability

We take reasonable care to run our experiences safely, but you take part at your own risk within the limits allowed by Italian law. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (force majeure, third-party venues, weather, strikes, etc.), or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Italian law.

We strongly recommend that all guests hold travel and personal insurance covering the duration of their trip.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, photographs, itineraries, and the "Flavors and Tales" name and logo — belongs to us or is used with permission. You may not copy or reuse it commercially without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy

The personal data you share with us is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rome, Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence. Consumers based in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the moment of your booking.
